IBR
An important viral disease affecting domestic and wild cattle and buffalo. Causes abortions, ROP, moderate reduction in milk production and even death in calves. Infection can be transmitted through semen.
Common symptoms: Coughing, pyrexia, rhinitis, conjunctivitis, abortion during 6-8 months of pregnancy. Vaccination is a method of prevention but no vaccine is currently available in India for IBR.
