NDDB, GCMMF organises Conference on Modern Trends in Dairy Sector at Pramukh Swami centenary festival
Anand, December 27, 2022: National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) and Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) organised a Conference on Modern Trends in Dairy Sector as part of month-long centenary celebration of Pramukh Swami Maharaj at Ahmedabad on Tuesday.
Shri Raghavjibhai Patel, Hon’ble Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Cow-Breeding, Fisheries, Rural Housing and Rural Development Minister, Govt of Gujarat, Shri Dileep Sanghani, President, NCUI, Shri KM Bhimjiyani, Secretary, Co-operation, Animal Husbandry, Cow Breeding & Fisheries, Govt of Gujarat, Shri Meenesh Shah, Chairman, NDDB, Dr RS Sodhi, Managing Director, GCMMF, Pujaniya Brahamvihari Swami, Pujaniya Dr Bhagwaticharan Swami, Pujaniya Dr Gyanvatsal Swami dairy industry experts and over a thousand dairy farmers participated in the conference.
Chairman, NDDB while addressing the conference said dairy sector will have to make necessary changes & innovate with changing times and make efforts to educate farmers to adopt new techniques in animal breeding, feeding, healthcare, milk quality & use of renewable energy for sustainable growth. Shri Shah said BAPS provided an opportunity to bring together farmers and dairy sector professionals & scientists for a discussion about modern activities to take dairy sector forward during the Pramukh Swami centenary celebration.
Praising the event, Shri Raghavjibhai Patel said the conference provides a unique opportunity to farmers, technocrats & industry leaders to suggest, guide and learn from each other.
Earlier, Pujniya Brahamvihari Swami said this conference is unique as dairy farmers, experts to concerned minister are participating together and hence guidance from experts would reach the ground-level and benefit dairy farmers.
Experts addressed technical sessions on - One health and its importance, modern trends in dairying for scientific dairy farming, Productivity Enhancement through Animal Nutritional intervention, Initiatives by NDDB - IVF, Sexed Semen, Automation in herd management, Manure management, potential and impact of Ethno-Veterinary Medicines as an alternative treatment approach, efficient reproduction management and Future of dairy business in India.
